According to figures from Galleria Inmobiliaria, in the first half of 2021, there were 109,342 new housing units sold in the country. Here at Metrocuadrado.com, we want to be part of the dream you have to have your own home.
Here we explain how you can access the District’s housing subsidies and what are the requirements of the District’s Supplementary Housing Subsidy.
This is a free subsidy provided by the District Secretary of Habitat through the financial system, in concurrence with the housing subsidy of the national government (MI Casa Yak) and/or the subsidies of the family compensation funds, so that the homes of less resources, can acquire Social Interest Housing (VIS) or Priority Interest Housing (VIP) in Bogotá.
The value of the VIS home must not exceed 150 SMMLV ($ 136,278,900) and the value of the VIP must not exceed 90 SMMLV ($ 81,767,340). These values are calculated with the SMMLV (Current Legal Monthly Minimum Wage) for the year 2021.
If you have not applied for the subsidy from your Family Compensation Fund and your income does not exceed 2 SMMLV, you can add to the one provided by the National Government with ‘My House Now’ and the District Supplement. This is known as the concurrency scheme.
Not be owners of a home in the national territory.
Not having been a beneficiary of interest rate coverage.
Seek to access, through mortgage credit operations or housing leasing, a Priority Interest Home – VIP that does not exceed 90 SMMLV or Social Interest – VIS that does not exceed 150 SMMLV.
Not being reported in the credit bureaus.
Steps to follow:
1. Visit the salesroom of the VIS or VIP project that interests you.
2. Request pre-approval of a home mortgage loan.
3. Inform that you want to apply for the MI Casa Yak national subsidy and the District Complementary Subsidy.
4. Inform if you have a subsidy from the family compensation fund.
We want to help you so that this year you fulfil the dream of having your own home.
